NATIONAL FORUMS OF SMEs

In all countries, the development of small and medium enterprises represents an issue of major importance, because the decision making factors are aware of the fact that the economic status of a country is closely related to the success of small and medium entrepreneurs, those that provide a large part of the GDP and also offer a large amount of jobs. Following the model of a conference that took place in Washington in 1995 entitled "Small Businesses - fundament for the next century", where the Romania' s only representative at the event was Prof. O. Nicolescu, CNIPMMR President, the idea of organising in Romania a National Forum of SMEs arose and in 1996, the organisation of the first National Forum of SMEs became the begining of a new CNIPMMR tradition.

The Forum reached its' 5th edition, organised in 2003 in Galati, on the occasion of the Entrepreneurs' Day, on the 31st of May.
