METODOLOGY FOR CLASSIFICATIONS

number of employees

Profit

Criteria of selection
Companies taken into account when classifications
are made must fulfil the following conditions:
to
be private trading companies established according to the
Romanian law;
the
debts to the public budgets must not be higher that 10%
of the annual turnover
3.
The classification of companies by size is made according
to the provisions of the Law 133/1999 as follows:
0-9
employees - microenterprises;
10-49
employees - small enterprises;
50-249
employees - medium enterprises;
over
250 employees - large scale enterprises
The
classifications are made based on the data from the Ministry
of Public Finances regarding the financial results of the companies,
included in the annual balance sheet.
There
are more types of classifications, by gross profit:
1.
General Classifications (by country)
- for each of the 4 size category - the first 150 companies 2.
County Classifications -
in each county - first 15 companies in each size category 3.
Classifications on the fields
of activity (according to the CAEN code),
first 15 companies in each field of activity 4.
Classification of the privatized
companies - first 100 privatized companies
There
are also a frew prizes:
special
awards from the European Union of Crafts and SMEs (UEAPME);
special
awards from the World Association of SMEs (WASME);
special
awards for creating new jobs, introducing new technology,
special dynamics in development, etc.);
